Frequently Asked Questions
How often does CheckPage scan my website? โผ
Scanning happens on demand; Scans can be requested anytime via the app.
Do I need to install anything on my website? โผ
No installation required. CheckPage works by scanning your public-facing website just like a visitor would, so all we need is your website URL. For a full scan of all your website pages, you need to have a sitemap (sitemap.xml) defined on your website so that CheckPage can find all pages.
Can I scan password-protected areas of my website? โผ
No, we can't scan password-protected areas at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Does it detect copy issues in other non-English languages? โผ
We currently only optimize the app to work with English websites for now. It might detect issues in other languages, but we don't officially support them yet.
Will scanning affect my website's performance? โผ
CheckPage accesses your website just like a regular visitor, so it should have minimal impact on your site.
How are page scans counted in the pricing plans? โผ
A "page scan" is counted as a testing scan done for a unique URL on your website. Each time you run a test, you use page scans. For example, if you run 3 tests on a 5 page website, you will use 15 page scan credits.
What if I run out of page scans? โผ
If you run out of page scans, you can upgrade your plan for a higher monthly limit.
What if I do not use all of the page scans on my plan? โผ
Page scans do not accumulate or rollover across different billing cycles. If you do not need all of the page scans provided by your plan, you can always downgrade to the plan that best suits your needs.
Can I try CheckPage before purchasing? โผ
While we don't offer free plans or trials, you can try our subscription plans risk-free with our 7-day money back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your subscription, just let us know within 7 days for a full refund.
